Every so often a ridiculously tenuous metaphor is helpful. As a beginner in Spanish I can only communicate in the present tense. I am able to tell you about me now and what I'm about to do, I can inform you about what I like and don't like, and of course - I can count at you.
I've spent a disproportionate amount of time analysing the past, who I've been in an attempt to make sure I better myself. I keep reviewing what I've done and where I've been to make sure I'm interesting enough...
So here's to living in the moment, without baggage or a backwards glance. Here's to looking at things as they stand now, embracing the present and living a little. Here's not caring a little less what others think, or what I perceive them to think... here's to the present tense.
